Home Office Standards for Stalking & Domestic Abuse
Today saw the publication of the 2nd edition of the Home Office Standards for Stalking and Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Interventions. This has been ongoing since last year and the research team included ADA’s co-managing directors Debs Alderson and Kelly Henderson. Huge congratulations to the entire team Nicole Westmarland, Geetanjali Gangoli, Deborah Alderson, Dr Kelly Henderson Cert CIH, Liz Kelly, Joanna Lovett and Emma Short.
The Standards would not have been possible without the commitment, expertise, and generosity of so many from the domestic abuse and stalking sectors including Welsh Women’s Aid, Sara Kirkpatrick, ImkaanWomen’s Aid Federation of England, Jo Todd CBE, Suzy Lamplugh Trust, Paladin National Stalking Advocacy Service, Dr Alan Underwood and so many more.
The Standards will now form the basis of commissioning new perpetrator intervention services, ensuring that the priority outcome for all perpetrator interventions is increasing the safety and freedom of victim-survivors.
