At the end of 2025, our co-managing director Deborah Alderson and Deborah Jones presented a business case to ministers at Westminster to carry out a large scale pilot of a 24/7 GPS proximity system for domestic abuse perpetrators. Lord James Timpson and Alexandra Davies-Jones listened carefully and fully supported the proposal!
On Friday 21 Aug 26, the first national key stakeholder group meeting was held to implement this system together with some fantastic sector leaders and Ministry of Justice UK SMEs.
The voice of victim survivors is key to designing a system together that actually works. If implemented effectively, it will hold perpetrators to account immediately and truly safeguard by ensuring a coordinated multi-agency response. It is not a solution on its own, but it is a really poweful option which has absolutely proven to save lives where adopted in other countries.
As always, a lot to do, but the journey has started and we really look forward for this system to become business as usual!
